June 14, 2021 Forgotten Not Gone is headed back up to Utah Trikes to Repair our fleet of recumbent trikes!
With businesses and the country opening back up, our Veterans are ready to #GetOutTheDamnHouse. Before we can help our Veterans escape the isolation, our fleet of recumbent and custom electric trikes needs some long overdue maintenance. Help us #FundTheMission as we head up to Utah Trikes for two weeks of trike maintenance.
How your donations are being utilized
Our Current Challenge Stopping us from serving more Veterans and having a greater impact is our existing gearing system. We are only able to physically go 4-5 miles on rides with Veterans. Rides currently only last an Hour due to our Electric Assists not working and the Veterans we serve physically not being able to pedal up steep inclines without it.
The Solution is to replace our old Electric Assists trikes with new Bosch Activeline models which will allow us to go up to a 30 mile range depending on size of rider with 1 single battery. We are then able to keep Veterans engaged in Peer Support Outdoor Recreation for longer and more enjoyable Fun.
For every $3,000 generously donated we can upgrade 1 recumbent trike with a new Electric assist system.
The majority of our Veteran Trike Brigade riders are Senior Veterans or suffer from physical impairments. Electric assisted recumbent trikes makes it possible for them to participate, get active and get outdoors for hours on end!
