Round Up With Forgotten Not Gone
Join us in raising Mission Critical funds for Forgotten Not Gone.
November is National Veteran and Military Family Month (NVMFM) and Veteran’s Day is on November 11th. NVMFM is a time to appreciate and reflect on the noble sacrifices our military families make. Veteran’s Day is a National holiday that celebrates our military veterans and their honorable service for our country.
Veteran facts:
- 18.2 million living veterans served during at least one war as of 2018
- 3 million veterans have served in support of the War on Terrorism
- About 11-20 out of every 100 Veterans (or between 11-20%) who served in OIF or OEF have PTSD in a given year
- Among U.S. Army infantry soldiers returning from Iraq, 43.9% of those who reported a TBI with loss of consciousness also reported symptoms of PTSD
The+Source is partnering with Forgotten Not Gone, who’s mission is to proactively engage suicide prevention through emotional, physical and spiritual health within a veteran peer support environment. FNG helps inspire our local Las Vegas veteran community by engaging them with recumbent bike ride missions and community focused engagement. They provide their entire fleet of Velomobile recumbent bikes to local veterans and their families for free.
For the entire month of November, round your purchase to the nearest dollar and we’ll donate the difference to our partners at Forgotten Not Gone. You can also donate directly in-store via our donation jars.
